In Nepal, blogs came into action after the active participation of bloggers publishing news on the web after a ban on Nepalese mainstream mass media during the historic revolution in Nepal.

In the context, Blogging has arisen as an alternative media in the country. In a democratic country like ours there is diversity in voices and as the mainstream mass media has not been able to represent those voices effectively, the need of blogs have become more important.
